Winter tidings…⛄

The days are getting colder and colder, and winter is approaching ⛄.

We’ve been seeing a lot of “snow bugs” lately, signaling the arrival of winter💦.

The snow bugs that tell us such winter tidings are said to be a species of aphid called “Steller’s sea lion weevil.

The white fluff-like substance that looks like snow is said to be made of wax secreted by the body.

Also, depending on the area and the climate at the time, the first snow may be seen in about 20 days after you start seeing more snow bugs ⛄.

Last year’s first snowfall was observed on November 16, and this year’s first snowfall is expected to be observed around October 28 ⛄.

It looks like winter will come earlier this year than last year 😢.
