Think about security measures

Recently, the number of burglaries by black market criminals has been increasing!
We should not let our guard down and think, “My house is safe,” but we want to take precautionary measures in advance!

In this article, we will introduce security measures that can be taken in advance of building a new house.

■Installation of security cameras
Security cameras that can be effective even when just installed
If you have a camera that allows you to check on your house from your smartphone even when you are out, you can immediately report a burglary if one should occur.
It is recommended to install the camera at the front door, back door, or any place where there is a blind spot from the outside!

■Sensor light
lights up brightly when it detects a person or animal
Like a security camera, it is effective in preventing crime by installing it in a blind spot or near a kitchen door.
It is more effective if it has a flash blinking function!

■Crime prevention gravel
Gravel processed to make a louder sound when walked on compared to ordinary gravel
Gravel made to make a sound of 70 dB or more when a person steps on it is called crime prevention gravel.
70 dB is about the sound of a cicada’s cry. That’s quite a loud sound considering there are cicadas near the house.
If someone steps on it and it makes a sound, there is a high probability that they will notice it.
It is recommended to use it together with weed prevention sheets because gravel will be buried if it is laid directly on the soil!

■ Security Sashes
Choose products with the “CP Mark” (Crime Prevention), which stands for Crime Prevention and is effective in preventing glass breakage.
Consider windows and doors with the CP Mark, which is confirmed to take at least 5 minutes to pry open or break!
They are less likely to shatter if broken, and are safer in the event of an earthquake or typhoon!

What is CP mark?

(*) Based on a survey of intruders conducted by the National Police Agency, which found that if it takes more than five minutes to break into a building, the majority will give up and go after another house.
